Concepts

Ideas

Every idea gets a home. Post an idea page for anything — a small business, an AI startup, helping the homeless, a 10k run, a book club, a pee-wee league — and find the people who want to build it with you.

Projects

Projects are collaborative efforts where members work together toward a shared outcome. They connect the social graph to real work inside and across communities.

Feed

Posts, updates, and opportunities from the people and communities you follow — a calm stream of what matters in your network.

Origins

Origins are the space you start around a goal — a group of people who share interests, industries, goals, and opportunities around any idea. They are the center of engagement on Origin and the way members find each other.

Communication

Communication happens in a Matrix room — real-time chat, direct messages, and group discussions. It runs on the open Matrix protocol, so conversations are portable and can be end-to-end encrypted.

Profiles

Profiles are the portable identity of every member — like a living resume. They carry experience, skills, ideas, reputation, and relationships across every community and project, so who you are travels with you.

Opportunities

Opportunities are jobs, partnerships, and investments surfaced through the social graph. The network matches the right opportunity to the right person at the right time.

Companies

Companies are ventures formed by members of the network. They bring team management and opportunity sharing into the same workspace where the relationships live.

Frequently asked questions

What is JoinOrigin?

Origin is the space you start around a goal. You bring the idea, gather the people and resources it needs, and move it forward together. JoinOrigin is the brand and the network behind it. Instead of five separate tools, your relationships live in one place, so nothing gets lost between them.

How is JoinOrigin different from Discord/LinkedIn/Reddit?

Discord is a chat app, LinkedIn finds professionals, and Reddit is for discussion. Origin combines them around the social graph — profiles, Origins, chat, feed, projects, and opportunities all live together, so relationships turn into real work.

What can I do once I am in?

Create a profile that works like a resume, post your idea as an idea page, and start an Origin around anything. Invite the people you want to work with — co-founders, partners, clients, supporters — and every Origin comes with its own room where the work moves forward.

Is Origin live?

Yes — Origin is live and growing. Click Get Started: create your profile, post your idea, and start an Origin around anything you want to make happen.

How do I join?
